Browns Star Receiver Hit With Shocking Season-Ending Suspension Just Before Clash with Rams!
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Michael Woods II has received a six-game suspension, concluding his participation in the regular season due to a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.
Woods, presently on the reserve/non-football injury list after tearing his Achilles during off-season training with quarterback Deshaun Watson, will undergo the suspension without compensation for the six weeks.
While specific details about the suspension were limited by the league, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network mentioned that it originated from an incident during the summer.
Originally drafted by the Browns in the sixth round of the 2022 draft from Oklahoma, Woods, who had an impressive collegiate career with 38 starts in 43 games from 2018-21, was anticipated to assume a more significant role this season before his injury. In his rookie season in 2022, he played in 10 games, concluding with five receptions for 45 yards.
Despite no official statements from Woods or the team regarding the suspension, he recently conveyed a message on X (formerly Twitter) about the challenges he faced this year, emphasizing personal growth and a strengthened connection with his faith.
