Big Move for Red Sox!

Spring training for the Boston Red Sox is imminent, with pitchers and catchers set to report in less than a month. As the countdown begins, the Red Sox have been active in the offseason, securing notable additions like Lucas Giolito, Vaughn Grissom, and Tyler O’Neill. Despite these moves, the team faces the challenge of compensating for the absence of key contributors such as Alex Verdugo, Chris Sale, Justin Turner, and Adam Duvall.

While the Red Sox have internal options ready to step up, MLB insider Jon Heyman suggests that the team might not be done making impactful moves this winter. During a recent live stream with Bleacher Report, Heyman shared his belief that the Red Sox still have a significant move ahead.

“I think the Red Sox still have a big move in them. I know I was on this about a month ago. I do it weekly now. I predicted the Red Sox would do something big,” Heyman remarked.

One potential area where the Red Sox could enhance their roster is by adding another starting pitcher to alleviate pressure on young arms slated for more prominent roles. Whether it’s securing another pitching arm or acquiring an impactful bat to slot between Rafael Devers and Triston Casas in the No. 3 spot, the Red Sox have various avenues to explore if they are indeed seeking further additions this winter.

“I do think the Red Sox will do something,” Heyman added.

With just over two months remaining until Opening Day in Seattle against the Mariners, the Red Sox continue to fine-tune their roster, keeping fans and pundits intrigued about potential moves that could shape the team’s prospects for the upcoming season.
