Phillies Injury Updates

Right-hander Andrew Painter, who experienced a sprained UCL in his right elbow, is anticipated to make a comeback in 2025. After undergoing Tommy John surgery along with ulnar nerve transposition surgery on July 25 in Los Angeles, led by orthopedist Neal ElAttrache, the usual recovery timeline spans 15 to 18 months. Unfortunately, Painter is set to sit out the entire 2024 season, as confirmed by the Phillies. Initial attempts involved a conservative rehabilitation process, aligning with medical advice from their team of experts and ElAttrache, who maintains a close collaboration with Painter’s agent, Scott Boras.
