In a recent development, the Packers revealed their acquisition of a 25-year-old linebacker for the upcoming 2024 season.

According to various reports, the Packers have renewed the contract of linebacker Kristian Welch. Welch, aged 25, initially joined the Packers’ practice squad before the start of the season and was later elevated to the active roster in September. Throughout his tenure with the team, he appeared in 14 games, contributing 210 snaps on special teams, and making six tackles in those roles. Rich Bisaccia retains one of his reliable special teams players by re-signing Welch, a move particularly significant given the Packers’ transition to a 4-3 base defense.
