πŸ”₯ RED SOX EXPLOSION! Rumored Target’s Market Reaches SCORCHING Levels

What are the upcoming moves for the Boston Red Sox in the remainder of the offseason?

The Red Sox currently have several gaps in their roster that need addressing. Acquiring another frontline starter and one or two high-leverage relievers is crucial, and this need might increase if star closer Kenley Jansen is traded.

While Boston’s specific course of action remains uncertain, the team has been associated with various free-agent relievers. One player repeatedly linked to the Red Sox is the former fireballer for the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays, Jordan Hicks.

However, if Boston intends to make a move for Hicks, a prompt decision is necessary, as his market is gaining momentum, as noted by Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

“Jordan Hicks’ market picking up,” mentioned Heyman. “Most of the best relievers remain free. (Josh Hader) is the top guy but there are also Hicks, (Robert Stephenson), (Phil Maton), (Aroldis Chapman), Matt Moore, (Ryan Brasier), (Jakob Junis), (John Brebbia), (Shintaro Fujinami), (Brad Hand), and more.”

Hicks stands out as one of the highly sought-after free-agent relievers this offseason, primarily due to his impressive fastball that can reach 105 miles per hour. Despite being 27 years old, Hicks is considered a potential star in the making. In the previous season, he recorded a 3.29 ERA in 65 appearances with the Cardinals and Blue Jays, along with an 81-to-32 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

While the likelihood of Boston making a move remains unclear, Hicks could secure a signing in the near future given the increasing interest in his market.
