Juan Toribio from MLB.com suggests that the Los Angeles Dodgers might be considering Tommy Pham as a potential addition to their roster. The team is currently in search of a right-handed hitting outfielder to balance their lineup, which currently leans heavily towards left-handed batters. With James Outman and Jason Heyward expected to handle the majority of at-bats in center and right field, there is a need for another right-handed bat, and Pham could fit the bill. While Chris Taylor and Manuel Margot, both right-handed hitters, are options for left field, adding a more established bat like Pham could further strengthen the already talented Dodgers roster.

Pham has been linked to the Dodgers before and is viewed as a more cost-effective option compared to another rumored target, Teoscar Hernandez. Pham’s recent performance with a combined .256/.328/.446 slash line and 16 home runs in 481 plate appearances for the Mets and Diamondbacks makes him an appealing option. He notably performed well for the Diamondbacks in the NLDS and World Series.

In other news from the NL West, the San Francisco Giants’ top prospect, Kyle Harrison, was previously considered a potential trade candidate. However, team president Farhan Zaidi has dismissed this possibility, emphasizing Harrison’s significance to the organization. Zaidi sees Harrison as a local, homegrown talent with All-Star and Cy Young potential, making him a cornerstone player for the Giants in the coming years.

There are indications that Major League Baseball may take charge of Colorado Rockies broadcasts in the upcoming season, following the cessation of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain. An official announcement is expected soon, though details about local television broadcasting partnerships remain unclear.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks continue their search for additional hitting on both the trade and free agent markets, as confirmed by GM Mike Hazen. While expressing a preference for free agent acquisitions, Hazen remains open to trade opportunities. The team’s initial need for right-handed bats has been addressed with the re-signing of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and the acquisition of Eugenio Suarez. Hazen is actively exploring further options to enhance the Diamondbacks’ offensive capabilities.
