Amari Cooper has successfully passed concussion protocol and is anticipated to be in the lineup for the Cleveland Browns in their Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cleveland Browns receiver Amari Cooper has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play against the Jagaurs.

During the Browns’ Week 13 clash with the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper had to exit the game early after sustaining a head injury from a dropped pass. Despite limited practice in preparation for the Jaguars, the veteran wide receiver is set to play. Additionally, Cooper dealt with a rib injury from the Denver Broncos game, but the extended time between games has allowed for recovery.

Cooper is a key contributor to the Browns’ passing game, leading the team with 799 yards on 50 receptions. Known for playing through injuries, he faced challenges last season and underwent offseason core surgery.

Although the Browns have not yet named a starting quarterback for the upcoming game, Joe Flacco appears to be the likely choice. Flacco, who started against the Rams, provided the team with one of the best quarterback performances of the season. Despite a fourth-quarter interception, Flacco completed 23-of-44 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

Flacco expressed admiration for Cooper, emphasizing his exceptional skills and the positive impact he brings to the team. If Flacco doesn’t start, rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a potential option. While he has faced challenges this season, the Browns are pleased with his progress.

Unfortunately, the Browns will be without starting right tackle Dawand Jones in the game against the Jaguars due to a right knee injury sustained in practice. With the absence of both Jones and starting left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., Geron Christian is expected to start at left tackle, and James Hudson III will likely fill in for Jones.
