A new chapter in the history of Michigan football has unfolded, with Sherrone Moore assuming the role of head coach. As the newly appointed leader of the reigning national champions, Moore is gearing up for his inaugural recruiting weekend, and one of the standout prospects from the East Coast is set to visit the campus.

Kamar Archie, a highly regarded four-star linebacker from Trenton (NJ) Hun School in the 2025 class, has confirmed his plan to take an unofficial visit to Michigan this upcoming weekend. This visit marks Archie’s first-ever trip to Ann Arbor.

Michigan extended an offer to the 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker back in February, propelling his recruitment to new heights. Reflecting on the offer, Archie expressed his gratitude, stating, “When (Michigan) offered, it was a great feeling, of course. I’m really blessed and grateful that I’m receiving interest from all these amazing schools this early. My goals are to stay focused and keep up the work. It really means a lot that a big-time school like that is looking at me. It gives me a drive to do bigger and better things.”

Expressing a keen interest in Michigan, Archie appreciates the way the Wolverines utilize their linebackers, drawing inspiration from past players like Jabrill Peppers and their linebacker hybrid/ HB look. He eagerly anticipates experiencing the campus firsthand, stating, “It’s a place I hope to see very soon.”

With an impressive collection of nearly 30 scholarship offers from top programs nationwide, including Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, Archie has emerged as a sought-after recruit. Notably, he shares a high school connection with Michigan defensive line signee Owen Wafle.

As of now, there are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Archie. He currently holds the ranking of the No. 193 overall prospect in the 2025 class, the No. 25 linebacker in the nation, and the No. 5 player in New Jersey for his class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
