Shocking Revelation: Browns’ Star Wide Receiver’s Career in Jeopardy After Terrifying Head Injury – Retirement the Only Way Out? Insider Details Unveiled!

After Browns star Elijah Moore suffered a severe head injury that led to involuntary twitching on the field, Dr. Bennet Omalu, the pathologist credited with discovering Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in former NFL players, suggests that Moore should consider retiring. The wide receiver was released from the hospital on Friday following the incident during Thursday night’s win over the Jets, where he appeared to convulse after a tackle by CJ Mosley, resulting in a concussion.

Omalu, known for inspiring the movie ‘Concussion’ starring Will Smith, expressed his recommendation for Moore to retire, emphasizing that the observed seizure indicates permanent brain damage.

Moore is currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and if he decides against retirement, Omalu suggests that he should at least sit out the remainder of the season. Despite the Browns securing a spot in the playoffs with a 37-20 victory led by quarterback Joe Flacco, Omalu believes Moore should take a break for at least three months, given the severity of the injury.

Before the injury, Moore had contributed significantly to the team, scoring an eight-yard touchdown earlier in the night and accumulating 59 receptions for 640 yards and two touchdowns this season. With the regular season’s last game against the Cincinnati Bengals approaching in 10 days and the Wild Card round of the playoffs beginning on January 13, Omalu’s concerns highlight the need for prioritizing Moore’s health and potential retirement.
