Son went into the international break on the back of an impressive Premier League campaign that saw him bag 17 goals and ten assists for Spurs after leading them to a fifth-place finish.

Not only is he the main man for his club, but Son is also a key player and the captain for his country, and he just took them a step closer to qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

South Korea trounced Singapore 7-0 to secure their spot at the top of Group C in the Asian qualifier section. Korea are now through to the next round with a game to spare.

Sonny hits two trademark goals in a big win

With the score at 2-0 at half-time, South Korea came out in explosive fashion in the second half, with Son adding their third goal on 53 minutes.

Korea added a fourth just a minute later through Lee Kang-in, before Son popped up again with his second and Korea’s fifth goal just two minutes later.

Both goals for Son, as you can see below, were his trademark finish of cutting in from the left-hand side, taking on his man, and applying a firm, finesse finish into the far corner of the goal.
