EXPLOSIVE MOVE: Vikings Secure Staggering $5 Million Deal with Seasoned Running Back!

The Minnesota Vikings are aiming to enhance their running game in 2024, but for now, they are prioritizing continuity in the running back department by re-signing veteran Myles Gaskin. On January 9, Gaskin inked a reserve/futures contract with the Vikings, joining 10 other players on the team who also secured similar deals.

Players under reserve/future contracts are not permitted to negotiate with other teams, aiding NFL teams in solidifying the bottom half of their 90-man roster during spring OTAs and minicamps.

In the previous season, Gaskin made appearances in two games for the Vikings, primarily contributing on special teams and serving as an emergency backup running back. Ultimately, he concluded the season on the practice squad. As a former seventh-round pick by the Miami Dolphins, Gaskin also had a stint with the Los Angeles Rams last season.

With 17 career starts, Gaskin has accumulated 361 career carries, totaling 1,355 yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, he has recorded 101 receptions for 701 yards and six touchdowns receiving. Over five seasons in the league, he has earned $5.1 million.
