“Breaking News: Liverpool Poised to Activate €60M Release Clause; Shocking Twist as Newcastle Weighs Options!”

There’s a significant likelihood that Jurgen Klopp will activate his €60 million (£52M) release clause during the January transfer window as he looks for a replacement for Joel Matip.

The experienced center-back’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Inacio is among the targeted players for his successor.

Maisfutebol journalist Bruno Andre suggests that Newcastle United is also considering making a bid for Inacio.

Andre states: “Newcastle has been quietly exploring the possibility of signing Gonçalo Inácio.

“The Sporting central defender has been under close observation since last season, with interest intensifying in recent weeks.

“To secure the young player’s acquisition in January, the English club has learned that it must meet the value of the release clause: 60 million euros.”

The release clause value for Inacio is well-documented, having been confirmed after initial claims that interested clubs only needed to pay 75% of the release clause upfront. Sporting insists on the full €60M (£52M).

Sporting, having nurtured Inacio through their academy, anticipates a significant profit from the sale of the 22-year-old. His potential move to the Premier League would align with the club’s trend of selling talents abroad for substantial fees, similar to Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Ugarte, and Matheus Nunes in recent seasons.
