Aaron Judge Blasts 473-Foot Homer, Yankees and MLB Fans Lose It!

Aaron Judge, the powerhouse slugger for the New York Yankees, showcased his hitting prowess yet again. In a repeat performance from the previous night, the former American League Most Valuable Player launched an incredible 473-foot home run during the eighth inning of Thursday night’s series finale against the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium. Despite Judge’s impressive display of power, the Yankees fell short with a 4-3 loss to the Astros, but his mammoth homer generated excitement both in the stadium and across social media platforms.

Judge’s monumental blast not only electrified the crowd but also tied him with Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout for the longest home run of the 2024 MLB season. Trout, unfortunately sidelined by injury, was unable to counter Judge’s remarkable feat. Interestingly, Judge’s towering home run surpassed Jon Singleton’s 442-foot blast earlier in the game, highlighting his exceptional ability at the plate.

After a relatively subdued performance in April, batting just .220 with six home runs, Judge has heated up in May. Entering the series finale against the Astros, he boasted an impressive .375 batting average for the month, accompanied by a .483 on-base percentage and a .792 slugging percentage. His latest homer marked his third in May, following a 404-foot blast in the previous game against Houston.

Fans took to social media to express their awe at Judge’s prodigious display of power, with many lauding his impressive hitting prowess. Despite Judge’s heroics, the Yankees couldn’t extend their win streak, as they fell to the Astros, snapping their five-game run. With their sights set on redemption, the 25-14 Yankees will look to bounce back in a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays starting Friday at Tropicana Field, with Clarke Schmidt expected to take the mound in the series opener.
