17 goals this season!! A “special” young player for the Spurs is aiming to carry on Harry Kane’s heritage.

At Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane’s legacy surpasses that of every player who came before him.

At Spurs, a few have received trophies. A few have amassed an enormous goal total. Some have produced very unique moments.

Though he never took home a trophy during his time in north London, Kane will unquestionably be remembered as the greatest player the team has ever had.

With 17 goals in his first 11 Bundesliga games for Bayern Munich, the striker left with little bitterness this summer to pursue new opportunities.

Even a goal from inside his half has been scored. Naturally, there has been. This is a marvel at scoring goals.

Luckily, the Lilywhites haven’t lost sight of their best player. Ange Postecoglou’s players are still in an unexpected title chase despite suffering back-to-back losses. Although it has demonstrated that they are more than just a one-man band, Kane hasn’t exactly been forgotten.

Tottenham’s record with Harry Kane

Kane left the English capital with an incredible 278 goals from 430 games, becoming him the club’s all-time top goalscorer before transferring to Germany.

This athlete scored more than 20 goals in a single season nine times in a row. He even scored more than 30 goals in five of those terms, with his greatest total occurring in 2017–18.

Kane scored 41 goals in all competitions during that incredible season, with 30 of those goals occurring in the Premier League. What a waste of a one-season wonder.

It seemed like he too saved his best for the big occasion. The England international scored 14 goals in derbies in North London. Throughout his career, the 30-year-old has only scored more goals versus Everton (16) and Leicester (20).

It will be difficult to find another goal-scoring weapon as brilliant as Kane, but there is a young talent at the academy who is beginning to make all the right noises.

The best young striker for Tottenham

Spurs were able to secure the future of emerging striker Mikey Moore back in June. At the age of 15, this was a commercial venture that, understandably, did not take off.

The forward has been improving this season, so it was a wise choice for him to make that move and turn off interest from elite teams.

Moore, who is 16 years old, has just made two appearances for the U21s, but has already earned his Spurs debut.

The teenager is particularly good for the U18s, having scored eight goals in just seven games this season. Kane has more than lived up to this brutal streak thus far in his career.

It won’t be long until he plays up a level or perhaps gets a look in at first-team level, as described as a “special talent” by the Secret Scout, a reliable source that specializes in child scouting.

There is a genuine confidence that Spurs have the next Kane inside their ranks, but a lot needs to happen before then. It might also make people at the FA pay attention as they search for England’s next big goal scorer in the upcoming ten years.

Moore may be that person, and he’s already making an impact internationally. In fact, he has scored 17 goals this term when looking at his performance on the international scene. The attention has been drawn to England U17s’ recent hat-trick against Croatia, which increases the number of strikes against the Faroe Islands and Norway in 2023–2024.

The playing style of Mikey Moore

Although it would be absurd to put the attacker under such intense pressure, according to journalist Dave Hynter, Tottenham may have access to one of the top young players in the nation.

Hynter stated: “A significant audience saw the Under-17 Premier League Cup final in April, which was aired on the club’s TV channel. Moore scored twice in the team’s 5-1 victory. The initial dribble and finish is confusing. He often performs this. Aimee

“Moore has many qualities but he really quickens the pulse when he runs at opponents, gliding past them as if they are not there. Later that month, Moore would make his under-21 debut for Spurs – aged 15 – becoming the youngest player in the modern era to appear for them at that level.”

Moore, then, isn’t only about netting goals, much like Kane. Not everyone have the natural talent to outperform rivals and do quality work as well.

A player that is headed straight for the Kane role has a great career ahead of him.
