🏀💥 Celtics Shock: Dominique Wilkins Spills on Jaylen Brown’s Mind-Blowing Dunk! Is it an Homage to the Legend? Exclusive Insights from the Hawks’ Hall of Famer! 🔥🔮 #NBAHistoryRevealed #WilkinsBrownConnection

When Jaylen Brown unleashed a jaw-dropping windmill dunk on Thanksgiving eve, our minds immediately went to Dominique Wilkins, the dunk maestro. Could this dunk be a nod to the Human Highlight Film? Surprisingly, Jaylen was only 2 years old when Wilkins played his last NBA game, but there’s more to this story.

In a pre-game encounter, Brown stopped to chat with Dominique, now a Hawks TV analyst, and the burning question was asked. Was that dunk inspired by Wilkins? Brown’s response: “Of course. I’m from Georgia.”

Growing up in Marietta, just northwest of Atlanta, Brown had early interactions with Wilkins during high school workouts at Georgia Tech. Dominique shared, “I knew him when he was a kid coming up. I’ve always liked Jaylen. He was a good player, but he was a good kid, too.”

Wilkins praised Brown’s strength, athleticism, and knowledge of the game. Despite the evolution of the NBA game, Wilkins acknowledged Brown’s understanding of basketball history, especially in Boston.

On the changing NBA landscape, Wilkins commented, “The game has changed. It’s a more hybrid game… but when those 3’s ain’t going, what else do you have?” He contrasted the era of Larry Bird, highlighting the Celtics’ ability to play diverse styles.

Reflecting on his own playing days, Wilkins mused, “I don’t know what I would have averaged, but it would have been a lot more than 35 a game.” Despite differences, he expressed admiration for today’s players and their opportunities.

As for Jaylen’s epic dunk, Wilkins was eager to see it, and when he did, his reaction was pure excitement. “Run that back… Oooh, and that was in traffic. That wasn’t on a fast break like most of mine were. I’ve seen guys try to emulate that. Some guys do it pretty good, but there’s only a few that do it very well.” 🌟🎥 #NBAEvolution #WilkinsOnBrownDunk
