The game unfolded in front of a crowd of 8,788 enthusiastic fans at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Despite a promising start with the Blue Jays scoring twice in the initial inning and adding runs in the third and fifth frames, they couldn’t maintain their lead.

In contrast, the Yankees, who were outpaced in hits by the Blue Jays with a tally of 10-9, managed to secure their fourth victory in six preseason games. Their scoring was capped off with two additional runs in the fourth inning.

Contributing to the Blue Jays’ offensive efforts were Davis Schneider and Daniel Vogelbach, both of whom delivered home runs, while Ernie Clement’s triple further bolstered the team’s performance. However, the Blue Jays also faced defensive challenges, committing the game’s only two errors amidst the competitive matchup.
