Bengals’ Trey Hendrickson Misses Practice but Expected to Play Against Chargers

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson missed practice for the second consecutive day on Friday due to a neck injury and scheduled rest. Despite his absence, the team expects Hendrickson to suit up for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Bengals announced that Hendrickson will not travel with the team to Los Angeles, citing personal reasons. However, he is set to travel independently on Saturday and join his teammates in time for the game.

Hendrickson is officially listed as questionable on the team’s injury report, along with offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee, fibula) and defensive tackle B.J. Hill (knee). Wide receiver Charlie Jones (groin) has been ruled out, while linebacker Joe Bachie (hip) is doubtful.

Head coach Zac Taylor provided an optimistic update on wide receiver Tee Higgins, who has been dealing with a quad injury. Taylor confirmed Higgins is expected to play on Sunday, as he did not receive an injury designation.

The Bengals face the Chargers in a pivotal matchup as they look to maintain momentum heading into the latter half of the season.
