The Los Angeles Dodgers are actively making moves in the minor league realm, as reported by Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. According to Ardaya, the Dodgers have inked a minor league contract with right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn. This agreement also includes an invitation for Hahn to participate in the big league spring training. Hahn’s professional journey includes a stint with the San Diego Padres in 2014, followed by a tenure with the Oakland Athletics in the subsequent season. He then joined the Kansas City Royals from 2019 to 2021, and since then, he has not competed in any professional games.

Over his seven-year career, Hahn has accumulated a record of 19-21, boasting a 4.22 ERA, 241 strikeouts, and a 1.34 WHIP. In 311.1 innings pitched across 82 games, he has conceded 296 hits. Initially starting his career as a pitcher, Hahn transitioned to a relief role in 2019 with the Royals. Unfortunately, a right shoulder impingement in 2021 led to his placement on the 60-day injured list. Following the 2021 season, Hahn became a free agent and has not played at any level since then.

Despite the hiatus, the Dodgers have opted to take a chance on Hahn, a move consistent with their history of reclamation projects in recent years. With Hahn now 34 years old, he will be looking to revitalize his career in Los Angeles.
