“Massive Blow for Celtic! Two Key Players in Doubt for Motherwell Clash – Shocking Update Revealed!”

Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers has indicated that Luis Palma and Alistair Johnston may miss the upcoming clash against Motherwell. Their participation is in question due to national team commitments and the associated travel demands, according to Rodgers.

Luis Palma, representing Honduras, recently played in the CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final first leg against Mexico. Despite sustaining a knock, he managed to participate for 98 minutes in the second leg, which unfortunately concluded in a penalty shootout loss for Honduras. The worrisome aspect for Celtic is that Palma is set to return from South America just a day before the crucial Motherwell match, providing minimal recovery time.

Similarly, Alistair Johnston, who has been on international duty with Canada and faced Jamaica, is also expected to rejoin the club on Friday. This tight timeframe leaves him with limited rest and preparation for the impending Motherwell game.

In anticipation of the match on Wednesday, the manager shared, “Yeah, well, we are still waiting on some to come back, so Luis Palma and Ali Johnston won’t be back until Friday, but the other guys have come back well. The guys that have played domestically and for Scotland are fine, and the others, yeah, fine. So nothing injury-wise at this moment in time to report. Just assess, just assess and see how they are.”

With Anthony Ralston likely to secure a starting position in defense and Yang and Forrest potentially taking on the winger roles, Rodgers might contemplate altering the formation or giving Mikey Johnston his first start of the season. There’s also speculation about Kyogo playing out wide in the upcoming game.
