π¨ Thursday Injury Update! π₯ Jaw-Dropping News on Lawrence’s Status and Critical Lineman’s Practice Absence! π± Don’t Miss the Shocking Browns-Jaguars Report! ππ₯ #InjuryUpdate #NFLDrama
All attention was focused on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence during Thursday’s practice session. Although Lawrence participated, Fred Greetham observed that his involvement was limited. In a press conference, Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz mentioned that the defense was gearing up for various quarterbacks and considering the potential weather impact on Sunday’s game. The Jaguars injury report reveals concerns beyond Lawrence, including their current left tackle.
Even if Lawrence manages to play on Sunday, the team’s left tackle, Walker Little, may not be available. Little sustained a right hamstring injury on the same play as Lawrence, leading to him stepping on Lawrence’s foot. Little has missed both of the team’s recent practices. Unless he makes a significant recovery and showcases effectiveness in Friday’s practice, the Jaguars could face a situation similar to the Browns on their offensive line.
Like the Browns, the Jaguars have a rookie, Anton Harrison, starting at right tackle, chosen 28th overall in the first round, three rounds earlier than Dawand Jones. However, Jones has performed better so far. On the left side, Cam Robinson is on injured reserve, and Walker Little replaced him. If Little is unable to play, the Jaguars would be onto their fourth tackle.
Geron Christian is not an option, but a potential replacement at left tackle could be former Browns offensive lineman Blake Hance. Hance, who joined the Browns during the 2020 playoff run and played left guard, has taken some left tackle snaps this season. This situation is noteworthy since whoever plays left tackle will face Myles Garrett on Sunday. Garrett, despite resting on Wednesday, fully participated in Thursday’s practice despite a shoulder concern. Former Browns running back D’Ernest Johnson has been limited due to a knee injury.
Jaguars’ primary slot corner Tre Herndon suffered a concussion against the Cincinnati Bengals, making him unlikely to play in this upcoming game. The team has already ruled out their top wide receiver, Christian Kirk.
As for the Browns, safety Juan Thornhill, running back Kareem Hunt, and Maurice Hurst returned to practice on Thursday. Thornhill is managing a calf injury that caused him to miss a few games, while Hunt is dealing with a calf aggravation from the Denver Broncos game and has been working on its management.
