NBA BOMBSHELL! Controversial Celtics-Pacers Finish Finally EXPOSED!

The Monday night matchup between the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers ended with a dramatic finish, sparking controversy in the final moments of the fourth quarter.

The pivotal sequence unfolded when Jaylen Brown attempted a potential go-ahead mid-range jumper, drawing an initial shooting foul on Indiana’s Buddy Hield for contact with Brown’s head. However, after a Pacers challenge, the call was unexpectedly overturned. This decision proved costly for the Celtics, as it led to their defeat on the subsequent possession, resulting in a 133-131 victory for the Pacers with the game tied at 131-131.

In the postgame analysis, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla revealed that Buddy Hield had admitted to fouling Brown immediately after the play. Mazzulla expressed anticipation for the last two-minute report, scheduled for release at 4 p.m. ET the following day.

The NBA’s findings, released in the report, supported the overturning of Brown’s call. The review concluded that the shooting foul called on Hield was successfully challenged, as video evidence showed Hield reaching forward, making contact with the ball from behind Brown, and incidentally touching Brown’s head.

However, the report highlighted two erroneous foul calls that went against the Celtics, ultimately influencing the game’s outcome. The call against Kristaps Porzingis, contesting a game-winning attempt by Benedict Mathurin, was deemed incorrect. Despite making a clean contest with legal contact, the ruling awarded Mathurin 2-of-3 free-throw attempts, securing the Pacers’ victory. Additionally, a missed illegal screen by Indiana’s Myles Turner with two seconds left was not detected by officials.

Despite the controversial calls, the Celtics split the back-to-back trip to Indiana, maintaining their position atop the Eastern Conference with an impressive 28-8 record, the best in the NBA and the only team with single-digit losses 36 games into the season.
